How much do driving lessons cost?

Our lessons start from just £34 per hour. We also offer block booking discounts, so you can save up to 32% when you book several lessons at once. Check our Booking / Offers page for current prices.

How many driving lessons will I need?

It depends on your experience and how quickly you learn. The DVSA says most learners need around 45 hours of lessons plus private practice. Your instructor will assess your progress every lesson and let you know when you are test-ready — we never push you to take your test before you are.

I'm a nervous driver. Can you still help me?

Absolutely. Many of our pupils come to us after bad experiences elsewhere. Our instructors are known for being calm, patient and encouraging and we build your confidence step by step, at a pace that suits you. 

Do you offer intensive or fast-pass courses?

Yes. We offer intensive courses for learners who want to pass quickly. Your lessons will follow a structured plan covering the full syllabus, moving to mock tests once you are driving with minimal prompting.

Will I get help with my theory test?

Yes, every Sterling Drive pupil gets free, unlimited access to the Driving Test Success (DTS) theory test app for up to 6 months, at no extra cost.

Can I get lessons in the evenings or weekends?

Yes. We know many learners work full-time, so we offer evening and weekend lessons to fit around your schedule. Just let us know what times suit you.

Do you offer motorway or Pass Plus lessons?

Yes we offer Pass Plus and motorway lessons to expand your skills and help lower your insurance premiums.

How do I book my first lesson?

Call or WhatsApp us on 07599 191905, or use the enquiry form on our Contact page. We will match you with an instructor and get you booked in. You can also use the Book & Pay page to book and pay online.

Is there any way to get free lessons?
